On June 19, 2014, we asked all Romanian pension chambers for information on how Law 189/2000 is implemented. We have received few responses.

On August 16, 2014, we sent the same request again, this time only to the pension chambers that had not responded. Again, there were only a few responses. Overall, by September 23, 2014, we had received responses from only a few pension boards:

The other pension chambers (the majority!) have not sent a response to date (June 2015). On October 15, 2014 we sent a memorandum to Ms. Aurelia Cristea, the delegated Minister for Social Dialogue, in which we drew attention to the difficulties faced by Roma and we proposed some solutions or a meeting to discuss possible solutions.

Attached to the memorandum were annexes (the brochure of the project, archive documents, the answers we received from the pension funds). Unfortunately, by the end of February 2015, we had not received a response to this report.

On February 27, 2015, with the help of Mr. Ciprian Necula, we managed to send the report again, this time to Mr. Codrin Scutaru from the Ministry of Labour.

As a result of this memorandum, we received a reply from the National House of Pensions on March 11, 2015.
